Our Brief History and Mission

Founded in 2025, the seeds of our organization were planted in classrooms across Ghana, where we witnessed first hand the resilience of children striving to learn despite overwhelming financial barriers. From worn-out notebooks to skipped meals, the challenges they faced were not just academic—they were deeply personal and systemic. Motivated by these experiences and a deep commitment to educational equity, we officially launched our organization to ensure that no child is denied the opportunity to learn because of poverty. Our mission is simple but urgent:

What began as a grassroots effort has grown into a movement—one that invites educators, donors, and community members to stand with us in creating a future where every child can thrive. Together, we are building not just classrooms, but pathways to hope, dignity, and lifelong success.

Founder

Education has always been Harriet Lumula's (founder) passion and purpose. She believe deeply that it is the key to unlocking opportunity, dignity, and lasting success—especially for children facing financial hardship. Her own academic journey has been made possible by the generosity of individuals who believed in her potential and invested in her future. Their support shaped not only her path, but her commitment to pay it forward. For over a decade, She has quietly supported students by helping cover tuition, providing school supplies, and ensuring they have daily meals while at school. Along the way, She had the privilege of working with remarkable individuals who share her dream: to make education accessible to every child, regardless of circumstance. These collective efforts inspired her to formally launch this organization—a platform to expand our reach, invite others to join us, and build a community rooted in compassion, equity, and educational empowerment. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in the ILAC Department at the University of Oklahoma, where her research focuses on teacher training and leadership development in schools. Outside of her academic and nonprofit work, she finds joy in crocheting and braiding hair—creative outlets that remind her of the beauty in patience, craft, and care. Together, we can create a future where every child has the tools, nourishment, and support they need to thrive. Thank you for being part of this journey.

Assistant to the Founder

Born in Guyana, South America, Adasie has dedicated her life to bringing joy to children and championing the belief that every child deserves access to education. Her journey as an educator began at just 15 years old in her hometown, where she discovered a deep passion for teaching and nurturing young minds. In 2009, Adasie moved to the United States of America, carrying with her the same unwavering commitment to uplifting children in her community. She continues to inspire through her work, creating spaces where kids feel safe, valued, and free to be themselves. Adasie envisions a world rooted in kindness—a place where children grow up with courage, compassion, and the confidence to thrive.
